Plus, after nearly 8 years, the metal cover is still perfectly intact, except for one small scartch about 1/4 an inch long. The metal case has been amazing durable. Seriously, I have owned mine for at least 7 years.it might beven be closer to eight. Considering I am a very clumsy person and have dropped it numerous times, the machine is still almost new looking. If you can still find.it is WORTH IT. It has never once crashed, lost data, slowed down.the battery is the orignal, the screen is still clear - even with almost 8 years of tapping and scratching - and it has alsways remained quick and speedy. The Visor Edge (mine was red) has brought sanity to my life without adding clunky programs and other gadgets.
Sellar has been very responsive to information requests. Still an excellent product. Reconditioned product as good as new.
Durable and Hotsyncs easily with all Windows products. The learning curve for this PDA is about as short as it gets. For the money and memory size this ones hard to beat. Recharges in the cradle in a very short period of time and holds the charge exceptionally well compared to most color type screens. Many functions that are extremely useable for most students as well as business people. DataBase products available to create your own lists and functionality.
My VE has been in backpacks, back pockets, and in cargo pants for almost 3 years and it's still going strong.Expandable - A plethora of useful and fun applications are developed for the Palm platform.It looks good - My VE is brushed silver: sleek with a futuristic feel.When someone manages to fit a color PDA into a VE shell, I'll consider upgrading. This is the thinnest and lightest PDA around.Durable - Metal case with metal flip cover. Practical, portable, durable, expandable, and it looks good.Practical - The Visor Edge ("VE") uses Palm software. This is a thin unit that easily fits into backpack or purse. I also use it for recording client notes from my sessions. The battery life is excellent, and hot-synching and charging from the cradle couldn't be simpler. I've had the Visor Edge (in metallic blue) for almost two years and have had no problems with it at all. Backlighting is very helpful in dim-light situations.If you find one of these new or refurbished (which mine was), and if you don't need a lot of bells and whistles in your PDA, I couldn't recommend this more highly. The unreliability of so many Palm products has discouraged me. This is my first PDA, and I've been tempted to move to a model with color and additional memory. I use my Palm for storing addresses and for the calendar.
